Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Auto and Semiconductor sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Iron Force (TW:2228), which rose 9.97% or 19.50 points to trade at 215.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Shuttle (TW:2405) added 9.90% or 0.95 points to end at 10.55 and Gordon Auto (TW:1524) was up 9.70% or 0.72 points to 8.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lung Hwa Eltrs (TW:2424), which fell 9.97% or 3.25 points to trade at 29.35 at the close. J Touch (TW:3584) declined 9.95% or 0.37 points to end at 3.35 and Mag Tech (TW:2358) was down 9.93% or 0.89 points to 8.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.28% or 0.47 to $36.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.03% or 0.40 to hit $38.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.80 to trade at $1217.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was unchanged 0.00% to 32.372, while TWD/CNY fell 0.10% to 0.2004.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 94.66.
