Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 1.47% or 0.77 points to trade at 53.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 0.83% or 0.36 points to end at 43.55 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 0.68% or 1.0 points to 148.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.44% or 1.50 points to trade at 60.00 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 1.78% or 4.9 points to end at 271.1 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 1.74% or 5.0 points to 282.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 285 to 259 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.45% or 0.77 to $52.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.08% or 0.60 to hit $55.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.35 to trade at $1165.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 9.7582, while USD/SEK fell 0.06% to 9.1593.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 100.86.
