Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 0.51% or 1.00 points to trade at 196.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.48% or 0.35 points to end at 73.05 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.35% or 0.9 points to 254.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.56% or 1.27 points to trade at 34.37 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.39% or 1.55 points to end at 63.25 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 1.31% or 1.50 points to 113.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 308 to 274 and 80 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) rose to all time highs; up 0.51% or 1.00 to 196.70.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.61% or 0.33 to $53.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.16 to hit $56.80 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.60% or 18.25 to trade at $1159.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 9.5713, while USD/SEK fell 0.83% to 9.1255.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 102.69.
