Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.57% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs), which rose 4.23% or 6.3 points to trade at 155.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.04% or 2.00 points to end at 194.30 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 0.90% or 2.2 points to 245.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.60% or 1.26 points to trade at 33.74 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 2.61% or 27.0 points to end at 1007.0 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was down 2.36% or 1.27 points to 52.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 362 to 227 and 74 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.70% or 0.89 to $53.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.94% or 1.07 to hit $56.17 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.40 to trade at $1201.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.49% to 9.5045, while USD/SEK fell 1.23% to 8.9155.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 101.02.
