Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.08% or 0.70 points to trade at 65.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 0.92% or 0.34 points to end at 37.24 and Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) was up 0.88% or 1.3 points to 149.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 1.87% or 4.7 points to trade at 246.9 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.74% or 0.62 points to end at 34.97 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 1.52% or 3.70 points to 240.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 311 to 285 and 72 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.55% or 0.81 to $53.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.46% or 0.81 to hit $56.28 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.31% or 3.65 to trade at $1165.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.5425, while USD/SEK fell 0.55% to 9.1103.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.60% at 102.62.
