Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.27% or 5.2 points to trade at 234.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 1.33% or 1.45 points to end at 110.75 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.90% or 1.8 points to 201.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.55% or 1.60 points to trade at 61.05 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 1.65% or 0.88 points to end at 52.42 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 1.28% or 6.5 points to 503.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 305 to 294 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.33% or 1.45 to 110.75. Shares in ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.90% or 1.8 to 201.8.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.63% or 0.32 to $51.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.57% or 0.31 to hit $54.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.08% or 13.05 to trade at $1199.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 9.5428, while USD/SEK rose 0.33% to 8.9822.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 101.45.
