Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 2.75% or 1.65 points to trade at 61.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.58% or 26.0 points to end at 1033.0 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.46% or 0.83 points to 34.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 0.35% or 0.8 points to trade at 224.6 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 0.14% or 0.4 points to end at 279.1 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 0.14% or 0.20 points to 142.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 400 to 197 and 72 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.74% or 0.39 to $52.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.50% or 0.28 to hit $55.73 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.65 to trade at $1194.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.30% to 9.4721, while USD/SEK fell 0.40% to 8.9163.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 101.38.
