Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 5.46% or 9.00 points to trade at 173.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 2.73% or 3.60 points to end at 135.50 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 2.59% or 4.4 points to 174.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.86% or 2.35 points to trade at 79.95 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.90% or 9.4 points to end at 486.2 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was down 1.81% or 2.6 points to 141.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 329 to 282 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 5.46% or 9.00 to 173.80. Shares in Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.81% or 2.6 to 141.0.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 8.62% or 3.90 to $49.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 8.88% or 4.20 to hit $51.52 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.27% or 15.15 to trade at $1175.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.20% to 9.7911, while USD/SEK rose 0.85% to 9.2535.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 101.69.
