Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 3.36% or 1.03 points to trade at 31.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 2.61% or 4.50 points to end at 176.80 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.33% or 3.26 points to 143.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which fell 0.77% or 1.6 points to trade at 206.2 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs) declined 0.75% or 1.8 points to end at 237.9 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.42% or 2.5 points to 591.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 486 to 229 and 71 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.21% or 1.09 to $50.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.19% or 1.15 to hit $53.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.18 to trade at $1252.62 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.7816, while USD/SEK fell 0.72% to 8.7421.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 97.17.
