Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.85% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 6.03% or 3.50 points to trade at 61.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 3.48% or 5.8 points to end at 172.7 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 2.13% or 2.90 points to 138.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 2.98% or 1.17 points to trade at 38.11 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 2.01% or 3.5 points to end at 170.8 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 1.39% or 3.50 points to 249.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 295 to 245 and 68 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.09% or 0.05 to $52.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $55.70 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.05 to trade at $1157.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 9.7397, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 9.1577.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 101.00.
