Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.77% or 1.11 points to trade at 30.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 2.17% or 12.50 points to end at 588.00 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 2.12% or 1.55 points to 74.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which fell 3.64% or 8.2 points to trade at 217.2 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 0.32% or 1.6 points to end at 494.5 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was down 0.11% or 0.07 points to 64.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 335 to 218 and 68 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.34% or 0.17 to $49.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.36% or 0.18 to hit $49.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1222.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 9.2659, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 8.2883.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.22.
