Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.53% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 2.79% or 14.0 points to trade at 515.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 2.34% or 1.18 points to end at 51.58 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was up 2.29% or 21.0 points to 938.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 0.82% or 1.10 points to trade at 133.60 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) declined 0.69% or 1.50 points to end at 217.30 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 0.63% or 1.60 points to 252.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 350 to 322 and 84 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.11% or 0.58 to $52.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.73% or 0.40 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 5.55 to trade at $1233.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.38% to 9.4890, while USD/SEK rose 0.76% to 8.9024.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 100.60.
