Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 3.04% or 7.00 points to trade at 237.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.93% or 5.1 points to end at 178.9 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.86% or 3.2 points to 175.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 2.07% or 4.4 points to trade at 208.5 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.87% or 0.57 points to end at 29.85 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was down 0.53% or 1.5 points to 282.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 377 to 328 and 80 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.81% or 0.36 to $44.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.81% or 0.38 to hit $47.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.56 to trade at $1212.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 9.6151, while USD/SEK rose 0.11% to 8.4372.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.83.
