Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 8.07% or 2.86 points to trade at 38.30 at the close. Meanwhile, ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) added 2.45% or 5.0 points to end at 209.4 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 1.60% or 3.30 points to 209.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs), which fell 1.39% or 2.2 points to trade at 155.7 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.20% or 2.00 points to end at 165.30 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was down 0.82% or 0.47 points to 56.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 340 to 339 and 89 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.27% or 1.15 to $49.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.98% or 1.05 to hit $51.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.70 to trade at $1286.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 9.6409, while USD/SEK rose 0.36% to 9.0184.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 99.88.
