Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 1.89% or 3.8 points to trade at 204.4 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 1.55% or 0.54 points to end at 35.44 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 1.19% or 3.0 points to 256.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 4.78% or 8.40 points to trade at 167.30 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) declined 0.73% or 2.3 points to end at 312.4 and Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) was down 0.63% or 1.0 points to 157.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 341 to 339 and 86 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $50.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $53.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 4.90 to trade at $1278.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.25% to 9.6347, while USD/SEK fell 0.11% to 8.9619.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 99.53.
