Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 0.75% or 2.10 points to trade at 282.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 0.75% or 0.80 points to end at 106.80 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 0.64% or 0.80 points to 125.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.60% or 1.24 points to trade at 46.39 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs) declined 1.16% or 2.8 points to end at 237.9 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was down 0.97% or 1.6 points to 163.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 420 to 242 and 89 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.60% or 1.24 to 46.39. Shares in Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.64% or 0.80 to 125.30.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.10% or 0.58 to $53.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.00% or 0.55 to hit $55.63 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 8.15 to trade at $1224.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 9.5382, while USD/SEK fell 0.56% to 9.0351.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 101.90.
