Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.02% or 2.75 points to trade at 139.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 1.89% or 11.8 points to end at 637.6 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 1.71% or 1.3 points to 78.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which fell 1.13% or 0.92 points to trade at 80.56 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 0.43% or 0.6 points to end at 139.4 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was down 0.34% or 1.00 points to 294.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 369 to 270 and 45 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.25% or 0.14 to $55.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.98% or 0.59 to hit $60.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.65 to trade at $1516.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.76% to 10.6693, while USD/SEK fell 0.79% to 9.6103.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 98.028.
