Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.17% or 0.74 points to trade at 34.83 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.90% or 3.1 points to end at 166.2 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.64% or 2.10 points to 130.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 2.65% or 1.57 points to trade at 57.58 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.58% or 0.96 points to end at 36.18 and Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) was down 1.03% or 1.6 points to 154.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 360 to 334 and 63 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.95% or 0.93 to $48.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.85% or 0.94 to hit $51.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1254.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.14% to 9.5349, while USD/SEK fell 0.02% to 8.7866.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 99.13.
