Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Information Technology and Investment Trust sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which rose 20.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.6000 at the close. Meanwhile, Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL) added 17.46% or 7.70 points to end at 51.80 and Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Company Ltd (CM:LLMP) was up 15.38% or 0.400 points to 3.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which fell 18.73% or 311.20 points to trade at 1350.00 at the close. Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) declined 18.51% or 249.80 points to end at 1100.00 and Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) was down 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 98 to 69 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) fell to all time lows; losing 12.50% or 0.100 to 0.700.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.36% or 0.73 to $54.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.30% or 0.73 to hit $56.91 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 9.85 to trade at $1229.25 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.26% to 187.880, while USD/LKR rose 0.06% to 151.210.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 101.52.
