Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Land & Property and Diversified Holdings sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 50.00% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.3000 and Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) was up 24.79% or 8.80 points to 44.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Harischandra Mills PLC (CM:HARI), which fell 17.85% or 499.90 points to trade at 2300.00 at the close. Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) declined 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) was down 7.14% or 0.100 points to 1.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 124 to 73 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to 52-week highs; up 100.00% or 0.100 to 0.200.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.80% or 0.39 to $49.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.11% or 0.57 to hit $52.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.47 to trade at $1256.97 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.39% to 196.695, while USD/LKR fell 0.25% to 152.320.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 98.91.
