Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Trading, Manufacturing and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH), which rose 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Associated Motor Finance Company PLC (CM:ASSO) added 19.72% or 78.90 points to end at 478.90 and Amana Takaful Life Ltd (CM:ANTK) was up 17.02% or 1.60 points to 11.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS), which fell 16.67% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) declined 12.50% or 0.100 points to end at 0.700 and Dolphin Hotels PLC (CM:STAF) was down 11.36% or 3.10 points to 24.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 104 to 92 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) fell to 5-year lows; falling 12.50% or 0.100 to 0.700. Shares in Dolphin Hotels PLC (CM:STAF) fell to 5-year lows; losing 11.36% or 3.10 to 24.20.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.65% or 0.45 to $69.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.64% or 0.50 to hit $78.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1202.90 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.81% to 216.015, while USD/LKR rose 0.70% to 164.930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.31.
