Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Land & Property and Plantations sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.59% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB) added 17.27% or 44.90 points to end at 304.90 and Shalimar Estates (CM:SHAL) was up 15.72% or 271.40 points to 1998.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which fell 12.50% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.7000 at the close. Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) declined 12.50% or 0.100 points to end at 0.700 and Taprobane Holdings PLC (CM:TAPR) was down 6.52% or 0.300 points to 4.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 152 to 59 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 100.00% or 0.100 to 0.200. Shares in Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB) rose to all time highs; up 17.27% or 44.90 to 304.90.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.84% or 0.41 to $49.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.85% or 0.44 to hit $52.26 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.17 to trade at $1268.07 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.34% to 197.125, while USD/LKR fell 0.13% to 152.240.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 98.63.
