Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Footwear & Textile, Telecoms and Land & Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were F L C Holdings PLC (CM:FREE), which rose 66.67% or 0.600 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) added 50.00% or 0.300 points to end at 0.900 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 50.00% or 0.2000 points to 0.6000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Royal Palms Beach Hotels PLC (CM:RPBH), which fell 14.41% or 3.30 points to trade at 19.60 at the close. Kotmale Holdings PLC (CM:LAMB) declined 10.69% or 10.80 points to end at 90.20 and Horana Plantations PLC (CM:HOPL) was down 10.65% or 1.80 points to 15.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 109 to 58 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in F L C Holdings PLC (CM:FREE) rose to 52-week highs; up 66.67% or 0.600 to 1.500. Shares in Royal Palms Beach Hotels PLC (CM:RPBH) fell to 5-year lows; falling 14.41% or 3.30 to 19.60. Shares in Horana Plantations PLC (CM:HOPL) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.65% or 1.80 to 15.10.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.73% or 0.35 to $48.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.65% or 0.33 to hit $51.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.75 to trade at $1253.95 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.09% to 190.940, while USD/LKR rose 0.01% to 151.960.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 99.05.
