Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Bankinter (MC:BKT), which rose 0.73% or 0.053 points to trade at 7.285 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 0.40% or 0.175 points to end at 44.210 and Enagas (MC:ENAG) was up 0.17% or 0.040 points to 22.975 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA), which fell 2.94% or 4.05 points to trade at 133.70 at the close. Melia Hotels (MC:MEL) declined 2.23% or 0.275 points to end at 12.085 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was down 2.00% or 0.068 points to 3.331.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 121 to 43 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.33% or 4.15 to $1234.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.53% or 0.83 to hit $53.50 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.57% or 0.89 to trade at $55.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.0555, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8482.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 101.39.
