Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 1.05% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Telefonica (MC:TEF), which rose 1.10% or 0.077 points to trade at 7.085 at the close. Meanwhile, B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 1.09% or 0.014 points to end at 1.296 and Repsol (MC:REP) was up 0.21% or 0.035 points to 17.075 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA), which fell 6.31% or 1.560 points to trade at 23.160 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 4.84% or 1.260 points to end at 24.780 and Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) was down 4.74% or 6.95 points to 139.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 155 to 26 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.31% or 1.560 to 23.160. Shares in Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.74% or 6.95 to 139.75.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 1.10 to $1192.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.09% or 1.57 to hit $73.39 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.75% or 1.49 to trade at $83.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1543, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8737.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.06.
