Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 0.96% or 0.250 points to trade at 26.340 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 0.62% or 0.185 points to end at 30.140 and Inditex (MC:ITX) was up 0.59% or 0.170 points to 29.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bankia SA (MC:BKIA), which fell 4.31% or 0.189 points to trade at 4.200 at the close. Endesa (MC:ELE) declined 3.23% or 0.605 points to end at 18.150 and Enagas (MC:ENAG) was down 3.07% or 0.710 points to 22.390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 114 to 71 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.93% or 12.60 to $1339.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.97% or 0.64 to hit $65.50 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.47% or 1.03 to trade at $69.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.2360, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 89.32.
