Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME:IDR), which rose 1.84% or 0.54 points to trade at 29.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankinter (BME:BKT) added 1.84% or 0.19 points to end at 10.82 and Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE) was up 1.39% or 0.04 points to 2.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fluidra (BME:FLUI), which fell 3.09% or 0.64 points to trade at 20.08 at the close. Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX) declined 2.85% or 1.35 points to end at 46.02 and Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) was down 2.13% or 0.18 points to 8.17.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 106 to 94 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Indra A (BME:IDR) rose to all time highs; up 1.84% or 0.54 to 29.84. Shares in Bankinter (BME:BKT) rose to all time highs; up 1.84% or 0.19 to 10.82.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.84% or 28.89 to $3,393.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.08% or 0.64 to hit $58.45 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.13% or 0.70 to trade at $61.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 99.39.
