Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were B. Sabadell (MC:SABE), which rose 3.69% or 0.068 points to trade at 1.912 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 3.24% or 0.705 points to end at 22.470 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) was up 2.79% or 0.120 points to 4.413 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrovial (MC:FER), which fell 2.08% or 0.390 points to trade at 18.410 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 1.45% or 0.335 points to end at 22.760 and Indra A (MC:IDR) was down 0.89% or 0.120 points to 13.300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 112 to 64 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.69% or 0.068 to 1.912.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.32% or 4.03 to $1250.27 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.34% or 1.55 to hit $47.89 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 3.09% or 1.50 to trade at $50.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.83.
