Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Const. (MC:ACS), which rose 2.45% or 0.780 points to trade at 32.640 at the close. Meanwhile, B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 2.04% or 0.033 points to end at 1.647 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was up 1.89% or 0.245 points to 13.245 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gamesa (MC:GAM), which fell 3.42% or 0.760 points to trade at 21.490 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 0.83% or 0.195 points to end at 23.195 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was down 0.68% or 0.10 points to 15.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 119 to 51 and 9 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.74% or 9.35 to $1249.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.43% or 0.22 to hit $51.25 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.29 to trade at $54.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.0653, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8540.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 100.58.
