Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Caixabank SA (MC:CABK), which rose 1.90% or 0.073 points to trade at 3.925 at the close. Meanwhile, B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 1.88% or 0.031 points to end at 1.678 and Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) was up 1.38% or 0.320 points to 23.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which fell 2.78% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.244 at the close. Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) declined 2.14% or 0.260 points to end at 11.895 and Gamesa (MC:GAM) was down 1.89% or 0.365 points to 18.995.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 93 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.29% or 3.70 to $1287.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.78% or 1.41 to hit $49.30 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 2.49% or 1.32 to trade at $51.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.0685, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8353.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 99.91.
