Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 2.38%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME:IDR), which rose 5.84% or 1.44 points to trade at 26.08 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) added 5.60% or 0.15 points to end at 2.77 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI) was up 5.26% or 0.98 points to 19.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Repsol (BME:REP), which fell 0.99% or 0.10 points to trade at 9.95 at the close. Telefonica (BME:TEF) declined 0.46% or 0.02 points to end at 4.08 and Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) was up 0.34% or 0.08 points to 23.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 164 to 34 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Repsol (BME:REP) fell to 3-years lows; falling 0.99% or 0.10 to 9.95.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.28% or 38.15 to $3,011.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.89% or 0.54 to hit $61.24 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.22 to trade at $64.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.04.
