Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 1.54%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Caixabank SA (BME:CABK), which rose 4.79% or 0.34 points to trade at 7.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankinter (BME:BKT) added 4.42% or 0.46 points to end at 10.74 and Banco Santander (BME:SAN) was up 4.00% or 0.25 points to 6.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Merlin Properties SA (BME:MRL), which fell 0.41% or 0.04 points to trade at 9.79 at the close. Iberdrola (BME:IBE) declined 0.36% or 0.05 points to end at 14.03 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) was down 0.18% or 0.01 points to 5.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 138 to 49 and 29 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.26% or 37.90 to $3,044.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.98% or 0.66 to hit $66.71 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.58 to trade at $70.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 102.91.
