Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS), which rose 4.37% or 1.70 points to trade at 40.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (BME:FER) added 1.95% or 0.74 points to end at 38.74 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) was up 1.45% or 0.15 points to 10.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unicaja Banco SA (BME:UNI), which fell 5.15% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.27 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) declined 2.93% or 2.60 points to end at 86.20 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) was down 2.24% or 0.25 points to 10.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 100 to 93 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrovial (BME:FER) rose to all time highs; rising 1.95% or 0.74 to 38.74.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.29% or 7.15 to $2,432.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.50% or 1.14 to hit $74.67 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 1.04 to trade at $78.01 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 104.36.
