Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.59% or 0.580 points to trade at 23.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) added 2.02% or 0.480 points to end at 24.230 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was up 1.47% or 0.098 points to 6.745 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5), which fell 2.33% or 0.227 points to trade at 9.513 at the close. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) declined 1.31% or 0.165 points to end at 12.380 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) was down 1.12% or 0.046 points to 4.043.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 98 to 66 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 6.39 to $1328.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.21% or 0.10 to hit $47.13 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.40% or 0.21 to trade at $52.65 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1874, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.9159.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 92.71.
