Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Mapfre (MC:MAP), which rose 2.14% or 0.059 points to trade at 2.813 at the close. Meanwhile, Iberdrola (MC:IBE) added 1.68% or 0.108 points to end at 6.539 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) was up 1.35% or 0.245 points to 18.445 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which fell 2.27% or 0.092 points to trade at 3.963 at the close. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) declined 2.13% or 0.705 points to end at 32.340 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL) was down 1.46% or 0.12 points to 7.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 98 to 75 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.60% or 7.73 to $1295.03 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.46% or 0.86 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.10 to trade at $63.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1907, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 92.78.
