Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 1.98% or 0.235 points to trade at 12.130 at the close. Meanwhile, Inditex (MC:ITX) added 1.85% or 0.510 points to end at 28.020 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 1.24% or 0.750 points to 61.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which fell 2.09% or 0.043 points to trade at 2.016 at the close. Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) declined 1.09% or 0.320 points to end at 29.150 and BBVA (MC:BBVA) was down 0.92% or 0.055 points to 5.947.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 85 to 73 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Viscofan (MC:VIS) rose to all time highs; up 1.24% or 0.750 to 61.350.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1220.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $66.94 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $72.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1561, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 95.24.
