Are DOGE layoffs set to resume?
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR), which rose 3.12% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) added 2.61% or 0.44 points to end at 17.29 and Repsol (BME:REP) was up 2.29% or 0.28 points to 12.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bankinter (BME:BKT), which fell 3.13% or 0.36 points to trade at 11.14 at the close. Caixabank SA (BME:CABK) declined 2.63% or 0.20 points to end at 7.40 and Indra A (BME:IDR) was down 2.61% or 0.92 points to 34.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 109 to 79 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.28% or 9.40 to $3,345.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.75% or 0.49 to hit $65.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.50 to trade at $67.54 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 99.06.
