Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS), which rose 1.48% or 0.62 points to trade at 42.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (BME:IDR) added 1.41% or 0.24 points to end at 17.26 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) was up 1.19% or 0.24 points to 20.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bankinter (BME:BKT), which fell 1.27% or 0.10 points to trade at 7.49 at the close. Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) declined 1.17% or 0.24 points to end at 19.82 and Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) was down 1.01% or 0.24 points to 23.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 109 to 81 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.48% or 0.62 to 42.46.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 1.60 to $2,633.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.33% or 0.24 to hit $73.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.58% or 0.45 to trade at $76.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 102.60.
