(Reuters) - SpaceX chief Elon Musk said on Saturday that its Starlink satellite broadband service has been told by some governments, not Ukraine, to block Russian news sources.

"We will not do so unless at 'gunpoint', sorry to be a free speech absolutist", he said in a tweet.

Musk also said that SpaceX was reprioritized to cyber defense & overcoming signal jamming, will cause slight delays in Starship & Starlink V2.

Earlier this week, the SpaceX chief warned that there is a high chance that its Starlink could be "targeted" in Ukraine, which Russian invaded last week.

All companies that have stopped operating in Russia are stabbing themselves. They should not be involved in politics.
We should no more be supporting a proxy war in Ukraine than if China supported one through Mexico. This is a nuanced regional conflict with severe consequences to the west for our NATO interference. However, the fact that we are literally supporting a Nazi brigade against Russians is ironic. How far have we come from the sage wisdom of our grandparents who knew to stay out of distant lands and foreign conflicts.
Let's see how those companies who have cut ties with Russia re-establish their presence in Russia when the war is over.
They should have done the same then perhaos when Israel invades its neughbors or when the US invaded Iraq🤔
Free speech should be for all people not just for people choice
