Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Hotels & Tourism and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Pipes Company (SE:2200), which rose 9.74% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE:4020) added 9.74% or 1.90 points to end at 21.40 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) was up 3.39% or 0.65 points to 19.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which fell 4.47% or 0.40 points to trade at 8.55 at the close. Anb Insurance (SE:8011) declined 4.47% or 1.00 points to end at 21.35 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120) was down 4.44% or 0.50 points to 10.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 150 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anb Insurance (SE:8011) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.47% or 1.00 to 21.35.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 5.09% or 2.55 to $47.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $49.04 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 4.39% or 55.40 to trade at $1318.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 2.29% to 4.1716, while USD/SAR rose 0.09% to 3.7522.
The US Dollar Index was up 2.46% at 95.63.
