Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Petrochemicals, Insurance and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Agriculture Marketing Co. (SE:4160), which rose 9.58% or 3.20 points to trade at 36.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) added 9.38% or 0.300 points to end at 3.500 and Al-Ahsa Development Co. (SE:2140) was up 4.67% or 0.70 points to 15.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which fell 5.56% or 1.35 points to trade at 22.95 at the close. Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) declined 4.49% or 3.00 points to end at 63.75 and Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210) was down 4.00% or 0.20 points to 4.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 77 to 72 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al-Ahsa Development Co. (SE:2140) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.67% or 0.70 to 15.70.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.85% or 0.45 to $53.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.99% or 0.55 to hit $56.13 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.70 to trade at $1209.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.0453, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.61.
