Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Real Estate Development and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 2.95% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Electrical Industries Co (SE:1303), which rose 10.97% or 2.15 points to trade at 21.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) added 9.76% or 1.65 points to end at 18.55 and Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) was up 9.63% or 2.90 points to 33.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230), which fell 0.97% or 0.30 points to trade at 30.70 at the close. Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) declined 0.83% or 0.15 points to end at 17.85 and Trade Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8170) was down 0.71% or 0.10 points to 14.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 157 to 5 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.29% or 0.14 to $47.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.25 to trade at $1207.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.26% to 3.9753, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 101.27.
