Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Media & Publishing and Real Estate Development sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which rose 4.85% or 0.90 points to trade at 19.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370) added 4.35% or 0.30 points to end at 7.20 and Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) was up 4.19% or 3.25 points to 80.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which fell 9.64% or 0.40 points to trade at 3.75 at the close. Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) declined 2.56% or 1.00 points to end at 38.10 and Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140) was down 2.43% or 0.30 points to 12.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 87 to 58 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.53% or 0.70 to $46.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.44% or 0.70 to hit $49.43 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 8.39 to trade at $1224.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.03% to 4.0800, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 99.38.
