Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Building & Construction and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Gypsum Company (SE:2090), which rose 9.96% or 1.35 points to trade at 14.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) added 9.87% or 3.90 points to end at 43.40 and Al-Ahsa Development Co. (SE:2140) was up 7.35% or 0.90 points to 13.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alawwal Bank (SE:1040), which fell 3.31% or 0.45 points to trade at 13.15 at the close. Samba Financial Group (SE:1090) declined 2.71% or 0.65 points to end at 23.30 and Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE:4020) was down 2.21% or 0.60 points to 26.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 104 to 47 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.87% or 3.90 to 43.40.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.40% or 1.29 to $55.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.34% or 1.33 to hit $58.15 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1151.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.72% to 3.8947, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.02% at 103.41.
