Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Insurance and Agriculture & Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213), which rose 9.91% or 1.05 points to trade at 11.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) added 9.54% or 4.55 points to end at 52.25 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was up 7.94% or 2.00 points to 27.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which fell 11.34% or 0.55 points to trade at 4.30 at the close. Saudi Ground Services Co (SE:4031) declined 3.75% or 2.50 points to end at 64.25 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) was down 3.40% or 5.00 points to 142.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 75 to 69 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210) fell to 5-year lows; down 11.34% or 0.55 to 4.30. Shares in Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.54% or 4.55 to 52.25. Shares in BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.94% or 2.00 to 27.20.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.73% or 0.39 to $53.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.74% or 0.42 to hit $56.88 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.15 to trade at $1174.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.08% to 3.9371, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 102.36.
