Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Power, Telecoms and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX:RUAL), which rose 2.01% or 0.83 points to trade at 42.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT) added 1.73% or 1.28 points to end at 75.10 and T Tekhnologii MKPAO (MCX:T) was up 1.38% or 46.60 points to 3,414.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unipro PJSC (MCX:UPRO), which fell 5.39% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.10 at the close. Rostelekom PJSC (MCX:RTKM) declined 2.08% or 1.51 points to end at 71.04 and Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:MAGN) was down 2.05% or 0.84 points to 40.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 0.54% to 49.90.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.43% or 12.50 to $2,914.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.02% or 0.68 to hit $67.04 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.30% or 0.90 to trade at $70.36 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 1.04% to 89.06, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 97.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 103.81.
