Morgan Stanley: One stock to buy, one to avoid in $45B software opportunity
Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Saturday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Power sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index added 2.35%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Surgutneftegas PJSC (MCX:SNGS), which rose 1.01% or 0.26 points to trade at 26.04 at the close. Meanwhile, TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref (MCX:TATN_p) added 0.67% or 4.50 points to end at 672.70 and Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX:CBOM) was up 0.64% or 0.07 points to 10.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ADS Ozon Holdings PLC ORD SHS (MCX:OZONDR), which fell 0.56% or 22.00 points to trade at 3,928.00 at the close. VK Company Ltd (MCX:VKCO) declined 0.15% or 0.50 points to end at 327.40 and Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC (MCX:HYDR) was 0.11% or 0.00 points to 0.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 45 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 0.49% to 49.18.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.33% or 9.80 to $3,001.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.95% or 0.63 to hit $67.18 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.70 to trade at $70.58 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.87% to 85.50, while EUR/RUB fell 0.62% to 93.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.71.
