Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.28% or 0.0055 points to trade at 0.1734 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 0.2910 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.04% or 0.0050 points to 13.8350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which fell 2.21% or 0.0250 points to trade at 1.1060 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 2.06% or 0.0170 points to end at 0.8070 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 2.00% or 0.0330 points to 1.6160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) unchanged to 52-week highs; unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 to 0.2910.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.25% or 0.71 to $56.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.97% or 0.52 to hit $53.31 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 10.95 to trade at $1231.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.0738, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8620.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 100.01.
