Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.42% or 0.1000 points to trade at 4.2260 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.16% or 0.1650 points to end at 14.4000 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.81% or 0.0180 points to 2.2380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 8.85% or 0.0300 points to trade at 0.3090 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 1.23% or 0.0380 points to end at 3.0470 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 1.12% or 0.1850 points to 16.3000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $50.79 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1281.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.0750, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8386.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.54.
