Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 7.10% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.3470 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.03% or 0.100 points to end at 9.820 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.65% or 0.0170 points to 2.6280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 2.86% or 0.0045 points to trade at 0.1530 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.22% or 0.2000 points to end at 16.2000 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 1.09% or 0.0180 points to 1.6310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) rose to all time highs; rising 1.03% or 0.100 to 9.820.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.43% or 0.81 to $55.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.40% or 0.76 to hit $53.57 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.45 to trade at $1234.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.0549, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8478.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 101.42.
